The Mesquite Outlaws Welcome Dallas-Native Sebastian Mendez

Sebastian Mendez signs with the Mesquite Outlaws for the upcoming 2022-2023 season. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Mendez is a midfielder from Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Adamson High School in Oak Cliff, Texas. During his senior year in 2018-2019, Mendez scored a total of 15 goals and 11 assists in four games. He went on to play collegiately at Paul Quinn College in Dallas.

Mendez has played for several teams in the Dallas area including, Añoranzas FC and Sporting United. He has also played in the United Premier League for teams such as D’Feeters Kicks Soccer Club, with teammate 2021-2022 Rookie of the Year Luiz Morales, and Foro 360. Mendez is also part of the US Men's Futsal National Team.

Mendez had a memorable rookie year during the 2021-2022 season. He played in 19 regular-season games, where he scored 12 goals, one of those being a game-winning goal in an intense penalty shootout game against the Florida Tropics in February of 2022. In the 2021-2022 playoffs, he scored 2 goals and had 6 shots.

This will be Mendez’s second season in the Major Arena Soccer League, and his first with the Mesquite Outlaws. His chemistry on and off the field with his teammates are bound to make another incredible season for the 21-year-old.

Get a look at Mendez and the rest of the Mesquite Outlaws on November 26th, when they play the Amarillo Bombers in two preseason matches at the Mesquite Arena in Mesquite, Texas. Parking and entry to the matches are free and open to the public.

The Mesquite Outlaws begin their regular season on December 3rd against the Monterrey Flash at the Mesquite Arena in Mesquite, Texas.
