OUTLAWS VS STRYKERS GAME MOVED TO LATER TIME

MESQUITE, Texas (March 29, 2023) – On Saturday, April 1st, the Mesquite Outlaws vs Empire Strykers match at Mesquite Arena will be moved to 9:00 pm CDT, previously being scheduled for 7:00 pm CDT, due to flight schedules.


April 1st will be the last regular-season game for the Outlaws, who are currently still vying for a spot in the 2022-2023 Major Arena Soccer League playoffs. The Outlaws are 11-9-2, and in 5th place in the Western Division. Meanwhile, the Empire Strykers are 12-7-3, and 3rd place in the Western Division. This match will be the second time the teams have played each other, previously Outlaws winning at Toyota Arena in Ontario, California 4-3.


The Outlaws are on a 4-game losing streak, and hoping to break it on Thursday, March 30th, against the 2nd place Chihuahua Savage at the Corner Sport Arena in Chihuahua, Mexico. Sebastian Mendez continues to lead the team in points (35), with 22 goals and 13 assists in 22 games. Luiz Morales, 2021-2022 MASL Rookie of the Year, is not far behind him with 30 points for his 20 goals and 10 assists in the 18 games he has played this season, missing four games due to injury.


The Empire Strykers are currently coming off an overtime loss to the 1st place San Diego Sockers, and will be hosting the Tacoma Stars on Thursday, March 30th before heading to Mesquite. Franck Tayou, one of the best players in the Major Arena Soccer League, is leading the Strykers in points, with 51. Rookie, Gabriel Costa, has made a name for himself in the league with talks of possible Rookie of the Year nomination.


The next game for the Outlaws is Thursday, March 30th, against the Chihuahua Savage in Chihuahua, Mexico at the Corner Sport Arena. Kick off for that game will be at 9:00 pm CDT.
