OUTLAWS RED OUT THE SIDEKICKS AT MESQUITE ARENA

MESQUITE, Texas (January 28, 2024) – Texas Outlaws won 12-7 against the Dallas Sidekicks for a Texas/Red Out game at the Mesquite Arena in Mesquite, Texas. The Outlaws are now 9-3-1 and the Sidekicks are 1-11-0.


The game in Mesquite started with an early Outlaws goal in the first minute, from Vinicius Dantas, his 200th career goal. Luiz Morales scored for the Outlaws 14 seconds later. In the 4th minute, Cody Ellis gave the Outlaws their third goal of the first quarter. Going into the 8th minute, Renato Torquato put the Sidekicks on the board. The first quarter ending with the Outlaws up 3-1. In the 2nd minute of the second quarter, Vini Dantas got his second goal of the game. Vini, then got his hattrick goal, in the 8th minute of the second quarter, assisted by David Ortiz. In the 13th minute, Jorge Deleon was issued a blue card for the Outlaws for tripping. The first half ending with the Outlaws up 6-1.


In the 3rd quarter, Darren Mitchell scored for the Outlaws in the first minute. In the 2nd minute of the quarter, Vini Dantas was issued a blue card for boarding. In the 3rd minute of the third quarter, Gustavo Piedra scored at even strength for the Sidekicks, their second. In the 4th minute, Darren Mitchell got his second goal of the game, with an assist for Vini Dantas. In the 5th minute, Vini Dantas scored his 4th goal of the game, assisted by Stephen Gonzales. In the 7th minute, Uzi Tayou was issued a blue card for the Outlaws for tripping.  In the 10th minute, Sebastian Mendez scored, with an assist from Uzi Tayou. In the 11th minute, Jamie Lovegrove scored the 3rd Sidekicks goal of the game. In the 14th minute, goalkeeper Pollo Cortes was issued a blue card for holding, replaced by Jesus Rivera for the rest of the game. Outlaws up 10-3 going into the final quarter. In the first minute of the fourth quarter, Jamie Lovegrove scored for the Sidekicks. In the 3rd minute, Emmanuel Aguirre scored for the Outlaws, assisted by Vini Dantas. In the 4th minute, David Texeira scored for the Sidekicks, then a minute later Colin O’Keefe scored for the Sidekicks, putting the score at 11-6.  In the 10th minute, Vini Dantas scored his 5th goal of the game for the Outlaws.  Going into the 12th minute, Bradlee Baladez scored the final goal of the game for the Sidekicks. Outlaws winning 12-7.



The Texas Outlaws will be taking on the San Diego Sockers for Youth Night on February 1st at Mesquite Arena. Kick off for the game is 7:05 pm CT. Tickets for Outlaws home games are on sale NOW!
