OUTLAWS FALL TO SAVAGE IN CHIHUAHUA
MESQUITE, Texas (December 7, 2023) – Texas Outlaws lose 12-4 against the Chihuahua Savage in Chihuahua, Mexico. The Outlaws are now 1-1-0 and the Savage are 2-0-0.
The first quarter scoring started with a Savage goal from Javier Gallegos in the second minute. The Outlaws scored to tie the game at 1-1 in the 4th minute, with a goal from Emmanuel Aguirre, with an assist from Luiz Morales. Adriano Nunes for the Savage got his first goal of the game in the 7th minute of the first quarter. Less than a minute later, Bryan Macias for the Savage scored to put the Savage up by 2. IN the 8th minute, Jaime Alejandro Romero scored for the Savage, making the score now 4-1. Luiz Morales got on the board for the Outlaws 10 seconds later, Outlaws still down by 2. In the 12th minute, Ivan Munoz scores for the Savage, ending the first quarter with a score of 5-2, Savage. Enrique Canez scored with an assist from Adriano Nunes in the 4th minute of the second quarter, Savage now up by 4. David Ortiz got his second goal of the season for the Outlaws in the 5th minute of the quarter. Going into the 11th minute, Javier Gallegos for Savage received a blue card penalty for kicking, but ultimately the powerplay was successfully conceited for the Savage, not allowing a goal while a man down. Sebastian Mendez for the Outlaws got his first goal of the night in the 13th minute. The score 4-6, Savage up at the half.
In the third quarter, Carlos Hernandez was issued a yellow card for the Savage for a delay of game violation in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Miguel Angel Diaz scored for the Savage, giving them a 7-4 lead. Roberto Escalante added another point for the Savage in the 14th minute of the third quarter, ending the quarter with the Outlaws down 4-8. In the fourth quarter, Miguel Angel Diaz scored two goals for the Savage, his second and third of the night, within the 6th minute of the quarter. In the 8th minute, Axel Chakounte was issued a blue card for the Outlaws. The powerplay was killed, but once at even strength, Javier Gallegos scored for the Savage in the 10th minute. The final goal of the night was scored by Jose Gilberto Lopez, with an assist from Bryan Macias, ending the game with the Outlaws losing 4-12. Savage outshot the Outlaws 42-29.
